Antonio Zanchi, The Angel's Annunciation to Zacharias

This painting illustrates Luke 1:8-17. Zacharias approaches the altar of incense, and an angel appears to him there to announce that he and Elizabeth will have a son whom he shall name John. The altar in the painting is next to the veil mentioned in Exodus 30:1-6, but otherwise it is not much like what Moses prescribes in that passage.
